Family Therapy

Families are complicated and can be a source of conflict for it's members.

Family stressors are increased during transitions or changes to the family unit. Changes in family can include blended families, adoption, foster care situations and individual members struggling with sexual or gender identity issues. Families are a sum of their parts and if one member is emotionally struggling than it in turn impacts the homeostasis of the unit. Physical and emotional health, parenting a teenager, care-giving an elderly parent, raising a special needs child  as well as financial challenges may all  impact a family's ability to function. Family counseling can be a huge source of comfort and in fact impact the individual members deeply with long lasting results.
